I wouldn’t know where to start but I do know how to end this reflection, and it’s so simple that it would be summarized in two phrases, “It’s not a country for programmers” and “Being mediocre is more relaxing and will bring you more”.

When one has been developing for more than 20 years and has always filled their mouth saying that they have enjoyed, enjoy and will enjoy programming, in the strangest or most common languages, with the most peculiar and strange technologies, the most cutting-edge and the most “old-fashioned”, but each one in its moment and only for the most (as much as possible) precise implementation, one should better keep quiet.

No sabría por donde empezar pero si cómo acabar esta reflexión, y es tan simple que se resumiría en dos frases, “No es país para programadores” y “Ser mediocre es más relajado y te aportará más”.

Cuando uno lleva más de 20 años desarrollando y siempre se le ha llenado la boca diciendo que ha disfrutado, disfruta y disfrutará programando, en los lenguajes más extraños o comunes, con las tecnologías más peculiares y extrañas, los más punteros y los más “viejunos”, pero que cada uno en su momento y sólo para la más (en la medida de lo posible) precisa implementación, mejor debería estar callado.

Today is a day of changes, it will be day 0 of a great change.

Hoy es un día de cambios, será el día 0 de un gran cambio.

Acabo de adquirir una cuenta “plus” en Vimeo.  Esto me permitirá, de la misma forma que Flickr, subir hasta 5 GB a la semana de vídeos, sin limitaciones en si son HD o no.

Ahora empezaré a montar los vídeos y aprovecharé la increible música CC existente para utilizar como base de los vídeos.

I just acquired a “plus” account on Vimeo. This will allow me, just like with Flickr, to upload up to 5 GB of videos per week, without limitations on whether they are HD or not.

Now I will start creating videos and I will take advantage of the incredible CC music that exists to use as a base for the videos.
