This is what more than 7,500 customers of Carbonite’s online backup service thought, who have been left without their backups.

Carbonite is defending itself by initiating legal actions against its suppliers for the defective hardware, in an attempt to recover through this route what it will have to pay in compensation to its customers.

The ironic point is on Carbonite’s own website, with its banner “How will you survive a computer disaster?” How will you survive a computer disaster?, the answer is not simple, but without a doubt that answer is not something they have.
