Common Sense Media published its Perplexity risk assessment today, and the verdict is the harshest on their scale: unacceptable risk. High or unacceptable across all eight principles they evaluate, and a failure on four of the five severe-harm “Red Lines” they tested.

I could write this article about Perplexity. It would be easy, because the full report gives you plenty of ammunition: 1,200 searches, an audit of over 1,000 citations, some uncomfortable screenshots. But I think that would be the wrong article.
